In 1914, four teenage girls living in a Catholic reformatory discover the writings of birth control activist Margaret Sanger and begin to imagine a world beyond the one that has been prescribed for them.
Together, they create a private world of friendship, ritual, adventure, and possibility — a place where they can explore questions they were never meant to ask and dream about lives they were never expected to have.
Intimate, mischievous, and deeply moving, the play follows four young women as the boundaries between the world around them and the world they create together begin to shift.

Meet the Cast
Meet the actors bringing Anne, Theresa, Lucy, and Joan to the stage this November.
This is Ariana’s first production with The Wayward Artist. She recently graduated from CSUF with a BA in Theater, and her most recent project was the DogWorks Play Festival at GCAC. She’s grateful to be a part of this story and can’t wait for people to see it!
Ava is excited to make her debut with The Wayward Artist. Based in Southern California, she is a third-year Acting BFA student at Cal State Fullerton. Previous credits include Jo March in Little Women, Charlotte Brontë in Brontë, and Abigail Williams in The Crucible. Ava is appreciative of those who continuously support the arts.
Heather Buckler earned her BFA in Theater from Cal State Fullerton. Her recent screen credit is the leading role in Killer on Set. Since graduating, she has focused on film and is excited to return to the stage. When she’s not acting, Heather loves hiking and spending time outdoors.
Sara is honored to make her debut with The Wayward Artist. Recent credits include Mercy Lewis in The Crucible and Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker. She looks forward to learning and creating alongside this talented company.

Lizzy McCabe is a Director, Producer & Arts Administrator
in Orange County, CA. She serves as the Founding Artistic
Director of The Larking House and as an elected Board Member
for the OC Theatre Guild. Her career has found her working
with various theatre companies including The Wayward Artist,
OC Playwright's Alliance, Arts & Learning Conservatory,
Playground LA, Shakespeare Orange County, Fullerton College,
Santa Ana College and Curtis Theatre.
Lizzy received her BA in Directing from CSU Fullerton and her
favorite directing credits include The Last Days of Judas
Iscariot (The Wayward Artist), The Crucible
(Curtis Theatre), A Midsummer Night’s Dream &
Cock (Chance Theater), and
A Streetcar Named Desire (The Larking House).
Jennifer Kornswiet is an award-winning choreographer and
thrilled to be back at The Wayward Artist following
Spelling Bee and Falsettos. Jen
choreographed an original Off-Broadway musical in NYC in
2023, as well as over 40 musical productions throughout
Orange County. She is also a dancer/performer in Disneyland
parades.

Rowan Galleran is a Southern California theatre artist specializing in costume design, wigs, hair and makeup, and scenic painting. Their work is rooted in visual storytelling and creating immersive worlds for performers. Their favorite design credits include Ostrich in the Room, Macbeth and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Rowan is thrilled to be designing costumes for this production!
Jeremy Brewer is a Southern California-based musician, sound designer, lighting designer, scenic artist, and theatre educator with a Bachelor of Music degree from Azusa Pacific University. This marks his second IUCC production following lighting design for The Larking House’s Judas Iscariot. Other credits include sound design for Bug in Mouth Disease with The Larking House in early 2026.
Seth Diaz is making their freelance debut with The Wayward Artist. They’ve designed several shows with Fullerton College’s Theatre Department and collaborated with several OC-based artists as a house tech with the Curtis Theater in Brea. They’re currently working toward a BS in Software Engineering.
Teddy is a graduate of Chapman University with a BA in Theatre Studies. He works as a scenic carpenter and painter in Orange County. This is his sixth Wayward Artist project, now half of which have been as a scenic designer. He hopes you’re captivated by the show!

Grey Tapia is an Indigenous and Latiné, queer, LA-based Stage Manager. They are a second-year resident and Production Manager at The Larking House. Recent credits as SM include Bug in Mouth Disease, Ostrich in the Room, and The Crucible. They are excited to be joining The Wayward Artist for this production!
